It's that time again. The Second Annual White Trash Porch Party Bowl Pool is under way. Tell your friends, neighbors, mail carrier, and everyone else about the bowl pool. It's $5 per set of picks. For a pick sheet, please email me at

Items of note this year:

1. There are 32 bowl games this year, as opposed to 28 last year;
2. The BCS is decided by a separate championship game, instead of being one of the 4 BCS games (Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta) as in previous years;
3. Just to make it fair, I'll be playing the role of innocent bystander this year, since I took everyone's money so early in the process last year. I will, however, makes some picks and throw in 5 bucks I have left over from last year's winnings;
4. First through third place win cash. Last place gets a refund ($5);
5. Make sure you read the instructions. They have changed slightly since last year;
6. Don't' forget to pick the tie breakers;
7. Let the trash talkin' begin. Go Dawgs!
